Bikepark Winterberg
The Bikepark Winterberg is a real MUST VISIT for the bike enthusiast, in the Netherlands and Belgium. There are many different descents to be found in every category. The bike park is suitable for both the beginner and advanced rider. These are the tracks that can be found:
PRACTICEPARCOURS –Â CONTINENTAL TRACK-Â TRUVATIV SLOPESTYLE –Â FLOWSHORE-Â FOUR CROSS –Â BELL FREE CROSS –Â SINGLE TRAIL –Â NORTH SHORE –Â IXS DOWNHILL
Â
Every track is “rideable” for everyone. Are you going faster? Then you also go higher, but if you are coming there for the first time then everything is fine to do. In the weekend it can be very busy so you sometimes have to wait a long time before you can go up again. During the week, you can usually take the lift straight up without waiting.
In recent years, there has been a lot of investment in the lifts, increasing their capacity. Still, you will see (especially on the first sunny weekend) that the crowds are big. On the trails themselves in Bikepark Winterberg, you often don’t notice this so much. Just let the fast locals get ahead of you or try to keep up with them 🙂 So the pressures are mainly at the lift below.
Practice zones in Winterberg
There are many practice zones to be found. Or rather progressive obstacles. Drops in different heights, bowl turns of all shapes and sizes, downhill tracks mat chicken runs. Everything is easy to build up so you don’t have to throw yourself straight into the “deep end”.
