Wales has firmly established itself as one of the best Mountain Bike destinations in the UK. From wild natural trails and flowing single tracks to purpose-built bike parks and downhill tracks. Wales really has something for all tastes and levels of riding. We don’t have that much to add to this ourselves. Wales has it all

We stay in South Wales where the trail centres are characterised by great built trails. But this trip also includes many kilometres of natural trails in the vast Brecon Beacons and the Rhondda Valley.

At each trail centre, there are trails of every level from blue/ beginner, red/ advanced and black for experienced mountain bikers. We choose the south of Wales because the sites have multiple loops that can be ridden.

You will never forget this trip. This trip includes the boat trip to the UK and through Wales in a minibus with Mountain Bike trailer. So no worries about transport.

Welcome to Wales!

Day 1

In the afternoon, we gather for departure. And begin the journey with the crossing to the UK. The evening is free to spend on the boat. There is a cinema, live entertainment, casino, duty-free shops, bars, several restaurants or the tranquillity of the cabin. Yes…… the trip has begun.

Day 2

We arrive in England in the morning and set sail for Wales by mini bus and special MTB Trailer. In Wales, we’ll introduce you to Cwmcarn Forest right away. Our favourite round, the red Cafall route has been completely upgraded in 2020. This route takes you deep into the forest and high up the hills with stunning views. We also take time for second red route before heading towards the hotel.

Day 3

Today, Afan Forest is on the programme. From the hotel, we roll right into Afan Forest with two blue, five red and two black routes. There are three start locations and two visitor centres where maintenance and lunch can be had. We will therefore move several times so that you have all the routes at your disposal today.

Day 4 & Day 5.

South Wales’ best natural trails. Guide and tour guide Paul is completely at home in this area. Day 4 riding is the Rhondda Valley on the programme where we ride the ‘ridge line’ among others and get to know the rugged local trails. Day 5 has an all-time classic on the programme: ‘The Gap’ located in the Brecon Beacons. This ride involves less singletracks than the previous days, but introduces you to the most beautiful parts of South Wales. The descent from ‘The Gap’ is an unforgettable experience, Gopro on!

Day 6

Time for Bikepark Wales! There are so many lines to ride here that we can hardly keep up. The counter currently stands at 40…. There is an uplift service from Bikepark Wale, this should be booked as far in advance as possible. Cycling up can of course also be done…. Bikepark Wales has developed a new kind of trail. Where blue trails are always flowy and red trails are technical you will find flowy technical trails here. Curious? Then definitely try Forest Bump, Off-Grid or the slightly faster Watts Occuring. Once you have ridden these three, we are sure you will take your seat on the bus to the boat with a very big smile!

Day 7

After a pleasant evening on the boat arrival in the morning in the Netherlands.
